About New Harvest Stockton
New Harvest Stockton began in December of 1980 when Pastor Art and Sister Irene Valenzuela were launched out of the New Harvest Norwalk Congregation.  They started with four people on opening night, six on the second night and have been growing since then.  The church started in Pastor Art's home and four months later they rented a vacant bakery on on of the main streets here in Stockton.  As the church grew, they felt the need to get a bigger building and after saving enough money, they found a bigger facility and were able to purchase it.  About three years later they outgrew that building and moved to the location they are presently in.
Together with their Associate Pastor, staff and congregation, they are seeing God do good works in the lives of people throughout the city.  They are a very active church and their congregation is very excited about the work of God in the city of Stockton.  New Harvest plans to continue in evangelizing the community, discipling men and women, training leaders, planting churches and being a part of winning this world for Christ.

The word of God tells us that we, as Christians, should strive to develop the "Mind of God." This is why the word of God says in Phil. 2:5, "Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus." (N.I.V.) We know that our Lord's attitude was to constantly strive to do the will of His Father. His mission and goal was to WIN and influence as many people as possible for the Kingdom of God. The Apostle Paul was able to develop the same mind-set and attitude of Christ. He said, in 1 Cor. 9:19, "Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to WIN, as many as possible." (NIV) So it is with the sense of urgency and conviction that we at NEW HARVEST CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP strive to develop the "Mind of Christ" in as many people as we can WIN for the Kingdom of God.
