Once the team arrived in the Philippines the poor living conditions were obvious. From the shack housing, dirt floor, and well water, you knew right away that you were in a third world country. It was amazing to see how resilient and resourceful the people were, it surely makes you think about how fortunate we are here in the United States.
From day one the team was hitting the street and evangelizing. They were on their feet all day looking for those that would benefit from hearing the good news of Jesus Christ. Brother George and Brother Branden were able to put on a basketball clinic with the teenagers of the city, using analogy's of basketball such as: teamwork, determination, and wisdom and how those traits apply to Christianity
One of the most encouraging parts of the mission trip was to physically lay hands on the sick and in many situations see first-hand miracles. Word spread through the city of the team praying for the sick and many of the locals were coming out of their homes and seeking the team for prayer. Some of the healing's that took place were: tuberculosis, arthritis, depression, cleft lip, back pains, earaches, asthma, and oppression.
We want to thank our team for investing their time and finances to help strengthen and encourage our New Harvest Urdaneta City church. (The Team, first photo from left to right.
