New Harvest Transitional Housing and Training Program:

We are dedicated to helping the hard-core drug addict, alcoholic, and others with life controlling or substance abuse problems.
The New Harvest Christian Fellowship Men’s Home is a six month live-in situation where we work with men in the principals of Christianity, producing productive people that are able to function in our society as Christian citizens. Through daily spiritual counseling and Bible studies, we are able to instill within the individual a sense of personal conviction, dignity and responsibility not only towards himself, but towards society as a whole
We are open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week and all of our services are free. The New Harvest Christian Fellowship Stockton Men’s Home is operated by the New Harvest Christian Fellowship of Stockton California and is totally funded by donations from individuals, civic, social and religious organizations.


Phase 1:

 Entry Level
Intake consent forms
Evaluation: each resident will be evaluated for proper placement. Ensuring New Harvest Transitional Housing and Training program will meet the needs of each individual.

Literacy Program provided by New Harvest School.
 
Introduction to Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery is a twelve step program which offers the following classes
* Chemical Dependency
* Addictive Behaviors
* Physical and Emotional Abuse
Through celebrate recovery residents will be able to examine cause and affect of behavior. Each resident will have access to support staff 24 hours a day. Due to the length and commitment of celebrate recovery residents will be ask to continue their recovery program after their stay in the center.


Phase 2:

 Part A: Passport To Success
  Passport to Success is a series of workshops designed to increase self-awareness. Through personal development residents will begin to process and examine their existing abilities. Here, the following topics and demonstrated.
* Using your Potential / Defining unique skills and abilities
* Concepts of Community and Team Building
* Defining short and long term goals / creating an action plan
* Introduction to problem solving techniques / Creative problem solving
* Assuming Responsibility

Part B: Parent Project
Parent project is a twelve- week program. Designed for use in conjunction with both classroom instruction and ongoing parent support group sessions. The curriculum will include the following components.
Laying the Foundation for Change
* Understanding our Children
* Addressing Problematic Behavior
* The Out-of Control Child
* Developing Personal Action Plans
* The Dynamics of Change
* Managing Conflict in the Home
* Active Listening
* Putting It Together and Making it Work


Phase 3: Computer Skill Building

Residents will be given tutorial time for computer literacy. Programs such as
* Typing Tutor
* Excell
* Access
* Resume writing
Improving existing skills or teach basic computers skills.


Phase 4: Preparation for Employment

During phase four residents will be escorted to various employment agencies, as well as presentations from various educational programs in order to meet the perspective futures of our graduates. Which include but are not limited to the following.

Graduation Ceremony
The New Harvest Transitional Housing and Training program consists of a six-month commitment, upon which time all four phases will be concluded. Each resident will be awarded a certificate of completion. At which time the graduate will be ask to give a testimony of his experience, achievements and his goals for the future.
