Labor of Love
God’s word tells us each season has a purpose and each one is necessary.
“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1 NKJV
So it is with our lives. There are fun times when things go great and we feel good. Those are usually times we are excited about life and what God has for us. Then, we begin to experience change and no longer feel the same excitement.
I believe that God uses everything to teach us and bring growth and maturity to our lives…
Memories of Merit
Love: to have a strong liking for; take great pleasure in
If you ask yourself what you love, what are some things you have a strong liking for, or find great pleasure in? The Bible says, “For where your treasure is, there your heart [your wishes, your desires; that on which your life centers] will be also.” Matthew 6:21 AMP
We can love the things on our list, but as we labor it is important to keep things in proper perspective.
Let Freedom Ring
Memories are the mental capacity or faculty of obtaining and reviving facts, events, impressions, etc.
We like to remember certain things: birthdays, anniversaries, special achievements, epic moments. There’s something else we need to remember…
Watching in Wonder
It has a nice sound to it, but you and I know that freedom is not really free. Someone has paid a price for it, whether it’s someone who paid it forward in the checkout line, soldiers who paid it on the front lines and most importantly, Jesus who paid it all for us on the cross!
Find, Seek, Live
Have you ever just sat down somewhere and people watched? What pours out of your heart and into your mind as you watch the people around you?
A Sure Thing
Life is happening and moving fast. So, how do we keep up with it all? One word comes to mind – balance. It is so important to take a step back, sit down and prayerfully plan your day.
Have you noticed lately how fast the world is moving? It’s constantly changing, with new fashion trends, new technology and new medical advancements. People are racing to keep up, but what we are really looking for is something safe, secure, solid, and a sure thing.
Reflecting on Love
We are already entering the third month of a new year! Time is moving quickly, which makes me think about keeping pace. There are still nine more months to go in this year and much work to do for the Lord. We don't want to lose momentum, right?
When we think of love, many of us think of words like fondness, passion, devotion, delight, appreciation, respect, loyalty, and commitment. Most of us desire all these things in relationship.
Isn’t it something how when we hear the word ”new” we get excited? Thoughts of a new house, new car, new clothes, new shoes, and maybe even a new hairdo can excite us. But then, there are those new things that can be a bit more challenging; like a new job, new position, new neighborhood, new school, and even new friends.
